Description of Operations
Three Battalion Chiefs, who report directly to the assistant fire chief, direct the Operations Division.
The division provides fire suppression, emergency medical care, advanced life support first responder services, rescue and extraction of trapped persons, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials and disaster mitigation.
The division also maintains on-going activities such as in-service training through the training division, public education through the prevention division, emergency services planning, equipment and facility maintenance, in-service inspections, pre-fire planning, as well as numerous other operations functions.
The division is involved in hazardous materials training and response as a member if the Fort Bend County East Side Hazardous Materials Response Team.
