New Commercial Development

Lufkin Automation

Lufkin Automation has acquired a 6.2-acre site in Missouri City's Lakeview Business Park, a 157-acre development owned by Trammell Crow Co, for the construction of a new headquarters building. The $4 million project will consist of a 40,000-square-foot building and about 50 jobs will be relocating from its current facility on Beltway 8 in Houston.
 
Lufkin Automation is a leader in the development, manufacturing, sales and service of technically advanced, electronic well automation equipment and the premier supplier of artificial lift optimization and training with emphasis on increasing profits for oil and gas producers through minimized operating costs and optimum production. Construction is scheduled to begin in early 2010.

Ben Keith Food Distribution Center

Ben E. Keith Foods is the ninth largest full-line foodservice distributor in the United States. Its modern trucks deliver groceries, frozen food, fresh produce, non foods, equipment and supplies, fresh and frozen meat from state-of-the-art warehouses to restaurants, hotels, country clubs, hospitals, nursing homes, schools and many other types of eating away from home locations.

Ben E. Keith has purchased 82 acres in the Beltway Crossing Business Park located north of Hwy 90 and west of Beltway 8. Their plans, as a first phase, are to construct a new 400,000 square foot office and distribution center at this location that will serve all of southeast Texas and Louisiana. Construction will begin in late summer of 2009 and plans are for it to be operational by the spring of 2011. When completed this new $67 million facility will employ initially over 300 employees.

Global Geophysical Services Inc.

Global Geophysical Services, Inc. is a high technology oil field service company that operates worldwide creating highly accurate images of the earth’s subsurface for exploration and production companies to use to locate potential oil and gas reserves. Global began operations in 2005 and has deployed twelve seismic crews domestically and internationally. Global employs over 800 people worldwide of which about 95 are located in their new Missouri City offices. Global also has offices in Peru, Algeria, Oman and Argentina.

Global recently moved in to their new worldwide headquarters in Missouri City at 13927 S. Gessner in the Beltway Crossing Business Park. This new 5 building facility has over 110,000 square feet, which includes offices, warehouse, assembly areas and a dormitory for their out of town employees.

Lakeview Business Park

Lakeview Business Park will be Missouri City’s newest industrial business park. This new 168 acres business park is being developed by Trammell Crow, one of the nation’s leading developers and investors in real estate, on the site of the former Willowisp Country Club.

This office/warehouse project is located ¼ mile south of the Sam Houston Parkway on Fondren Rd. and Buffalo Run and is projected to include over 20 buildings when the park is built out in multiple phases. The first phase of development includes new roads and utilities and three spec buildings totaling over 240,000 square feet. The three buildings are 38,337 sf, 49,778 sf and 152,884 sf with 24' to 30' clear heights. The site has shovel-ready tracts available for immediate development.

Newquest Properties Fort Bend Town Center Retail Development 

Fort Bend Town Center is a new retail development located at the southwest corner of State Hwy 6 and the Fort Bend Parkway. This 200,000+ square foot retail center is anchored by a Kroger Signature store is over 100,000 square feet. 3 additional retail buildings are available for lease along and pad sites for individual retail buildings. A new AutoZone and Burger King are planned.

 

Sienna Village

Sienna Village is a new retail project being developed by WDJ Realty and is located at the corner of State Hwy 6 and Sienna Parkway, which is the entrance to Sienna Plantation. This new retail project is anchored by a new concept HEB store that has features of the HEB Plus and Central Market stores. The new store contains over 113,000 square feet of shopping area. In addition to the new HEB store, there is over 80,000 square feet of additional in-line retail space for lease and pad sites available for lease along State Hwy 6.
